As young professionals our plates are always full trying to outperform our coworkers, running our side hustles, while trying to maintain these hot bodies in the gym.
Not to mention meeting our families and friends’ expectations and ridiculous last minute requests. If you have a partner your time is even more stretched trying to maintain a stable relationship… so where exactly does “ME TIME” fit in?
Here are three signs that you are in serious need of “ME” time:
Your Tolerance Level is LOW
Now if you are like me and have a low tolerance for BS…Sorry, I mean your tolerance level is lower than the average person!
I mean…the slightest thing sends you from 0 to 100, if a coworker or a direct report makes a simple error you blow up on them, if your children ask you to take them to the movies you get frustrated or seem irritable. Then, the problem isn't them its YOU!
You need a break to reset and get back to your regular self.
Not only are you going to make yourself unpleasant to be around. People think twice about helping someone with a rude people personality get to the top. Don’t make it harder for yourself boo…
Have several seats!
2) Little to no creative juices
This is the ultimate tell tale sign for me. You know that you have reached a sign of burn out when you can’t seem to bring yourself to want to do any work or worse yet you can’t seem to find the will power to get out of bed to go to work. Ever had the feeling like you wanted to do absolutely nothing!
Well…you need to reset and take sometime to regroup ….great ideas don't come from exhausted minds.
3) Always Overwhelmed and Physically Tired
If you sleep a full 8 hours and you still are tired….You need a break!
Having to constantly be on point and always running around to keep up with our busy schedules can take a toll on our bodies…slow down….use your weekends to recharge. Sometimes you need a good Netflix binge or girls night to completely unwind and forget about the stress of this world. I’ve found that hanging out with other people who are like minded motivates me to want to do more, these people pour into my spirit and I come away empowered and ready to take on the world!
Recently I met a client…let’s say her name is Shanya and her energy was so amazing we started to talk about work life balance and nutrition in a 20 minute conversation. Now I didn't know her prior to her becoming a client but there is something about when like minded people who are about progression come together that is so powerful. I want to share this same experience with you.
We can help with this we’ve got an amazing Boss weekend coming up…click here to be informed when the details drop!
