The Holiday staff party is your opportunity to show off your glamourous side while mingling with your colleagues. However you still want to keep your makeup in the realm of classy. Here are some tips to create a flawless look that is fashion forward.

I always say to focus on the skin. It is the absolute single most important part of any makeup look. Create a gorgeous complexion and that is 80% of your look right there. Feel free to go a little deeper with the blush. Orange/red toned blush looks like a beautiful glow on darker skin. Berry colours look nice on light to medium skin. There is no need to be intimidated by this cosmetic; as a rule of thumb start light and add intensity as you go to avoid using too much.

Now is the time to break out a dazzling highlighter which you may not feel comfortable wearing every day. Lightly dust it over your cheekbones for a beautiful glow that also adds dimension to your face.

For eye makeup I would opt for a neutral shimmery shadow on the eyelid and a little smokiness in the crease and on the lower line. Eyelash strips are optional but it must be stated they’re like the cherry on top for any eye makeup look. So pick a pair to your liking and bat those babies all night long.

The lipstick can be on the bold side since the eye makeup is somewhat neutral. Instead of a bright red, I chose to go with an oxblood colour. Long wearing lipstick is my favorite for events because they are low maintenance; requiring little to no touch ups.

There you have it. My guide to the perfect holiday staff party makeup look. It goes with every outfit and flattering on a variety of complexions.

Get glam, and have a wonderful evening knowing you look fabulous at your office event!
